What is the minimum rental period?

Our minimum rental period is 4 hours. Daily rates are based on an 8-hour operating day. Weekly and monthly rates are available and offer significant savings for longer projects. Most contractors find that weekly rentals offer the best value per day.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 48-72 hours in advance, especially during peak construction season (March through October in Las Vegas). For large or specialty equipment like cranes, booking 1-2 weeks ahead is best. That said, we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests -- just call us.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled delivery receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations within 24-48 hours receive a 50% deposit refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery are non-refundable. We understand plans change -- if you need to reschedule, just call and we will work with you.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes. Just call or text us before your return date. We will check availability and extend your rental at the same rate if the equipment is not reserved after your current period. If you extend past a rate threshold (for example, from daily to weekly), we will automatically apply the lower rate.

We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rates for all equipment. Daily rates are based on an 8-hour operating day. Weekly rates are typically 3x the daily rate (you save 2 days). Monthly rates are approximately 3x the weekly rate. All rates are published on our equipment pages -- no hidden fees, no games.

We require a deposit equal to one day's rental rate to confirm your reservation. The deposit is applied to your total rental cost. For rentals over $5,000, we may require a larger deposit. Deposits are fully refundable if you cancel with 48 hours notice.

What is the damage waiver and do I need it?

The optional damage waiver covers accidental damage to the equipment during your rental period, excluding negligence and misuse. It typically costs 10-15% of the rental rate. If you have your own equipment insurance or a commercial general liability policy that covers rented equipment, you may decline the waiver -- just provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI).

No. Our published rates are what you pay for the equipment itself. The only additional costs are delivery/pickup fees (based on distance), operator fees (if you choose wet hire), damage waiver (optional), and fuel -- you return the machine with the same fuel level you received it. We will give you a complete quote before you commit.

Delivery fees depend on the distance from our yard and the type of equipment (some require lowboy trailers). Local deliveries within the Las Vegas metro area typically range from $150-$500 each way. We will quote an exact delivery fee when you request a rental.

How quickly can you deliver equipment?

For in-stock equipment, we can often deliver within 24 hours. During peak season, allow 48-72 hours. Emergency or same-day delivery may be available depending on equipment type and location -- call us directly for urgent needs.

What does my jobsite need for equipment delivery?

Accepted Answer

Your site needs adequate access for our delivery truck and trailer -- typically a path at least 12 feet wide and 14 feet of vertical clearance. The ground should be firm and level enough for safe offloading. For cranes and large equipment, we may need to do a site visit first. Let us know about any access restrictions when you book.

What condition is the equipment in?

Every machine in our fleet is regularly maintained and inspected before each rental. We perform a documented pre-rental inspection covering mechanical systems, hydraulics, safety devices, fluid levels, and overall condition. We track hour meter readings and follow manufacturer-recommended service intervals.

Can I get an operator with the equipment?

Yes. We offer wet hire -- equipment plus a certified operator. Mark Popjoy or one of his crew will run the machine for you at a competitive rate (4-hour minimum). All operators are experienced, insured, and certified for the equipment they operate. This is one of our biggest differentiators from national rental chains.

Do I need insurance to rent equipment?

Yes. You must either purchase our damage waiver or provide a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing coverage for rented equipment with our company listed as additionally insured. Commercial general liability with a minimum of $1 million per occurrence is required. Your COI must be current throughout your rental period.

What happens if equipment breaks down during my rental?

Call us immediately. If the breakdown is due to normal wear or mechanical failure (not misuse), we will repair or replace the equipment at no charge. We guarantee a replacement machine on your site within 24 hours. Downtime due to mechanical failure is not charged to your rental period.

What OSHA training courses do you offer?

We offer OSHA 10-Hour Construction (required for all Nevada construction workers), OSHA 30-Hour Construction (for supervisors), OSHA Forklift Certification, Excavator Operator Training, NCCCO Crane Operator Prep, and Multi-Equipment Training Packages. All courses include hands-on training and certification upon completion.

How long are the certifications valid?

OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour cards do not expire. Forklift certifications are valid for 3 years per OSHA requirements. NCCCO crane certifications are valid for 5 years. Equipment-specific training certificates are employer-recognized and should be refreshed every 3 years or when operating new equipment.
