SMS Consent & Messaging Terms

This page describes the SMS messaging program operated by EquipMe Rentals ("we", "us", "EquipMe") and the terms that apply when you provide a phone number on our website, in our forms, or by replying to one of our messages.

1. Program Description

EquipMe Rentals sends transactional SMS text messages related to equipment rental inquiries and active reservations. We do not send SMS marketing or promotional broadcasts.

2. Consent

By providing your mobile phone number on a quote request form, contact form, booking flow, or other inquiry on our website — and by checking the SMS consent box where presented — you expressly consent to receive transactional SMS messages from EquipMe Rentals at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of renting equipment, and you may opt out at any time (see Section 6).

Frequency varies based on the activity of your inquiry or rental. For an active rental, you may receive multiple messages per week (e.g., delivery, return reminder, invoice). For an inquiry that does not convert to a booking, frequency is typically one to three messages over a two-week period.

5. Costs

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. EquipMe Rentals does not charge a separate fee for SMS messages.

6. Opt-Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After we receive your STOP request, we will send a single confirmation message and you will not receive further SMS from this program.

If you have an active rental, opting out of SMS does not cancel your rental — we may still need to contact you by phone or email for delivery, return, and billing matters.

8. Carrier Disclosure

Carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their affiliates) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change at any time.

9. TCPA Notice

SMS messages sent under this program comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable FCC regulations. We obtain express written consent before sending automated SMS messages. Records of consent are retained for the duration of the program.

10. Privacy

Your phone number and the content of SMS exchanges are handled per our Privacy Policy. Phone numbers are transmitted to our SMS provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the messages described above. We do not share phone numbers with third-party marketers and we do not sell phone numbers.
