AI Disclosure

EquipMe Rentals is committed to transparency about how we use artificial intelligence (“AI”) in our Services. This AI Disclosure describes the AI features in use, how they operate, and your rights.
1. Purpose
This Disclosure exists to (a) tell you when and how AI is used in your interactions with EquipMe Rentals; (b) explain the role of human review; (c) describe your right to opt out of AI-driven decisioning where applicable; (d) acknowledge AI is not infallible and provide accuracy expectations.
2. AI Features in EquipMe (Phase 1)
Phase 1 of EquipMe Rentals's platform ships without customer-facing AI features. The AI features described below will be updated as they are introduced in future phases.

3. Human-in-the-Loop Policy
Where AI is used to assist a decision affecting your rental (e.g., damage assessment, fraud screening, pricing), a qualified EquipMe Rentals employee reviews the AI output before any binding decision is communicated to you. Automated systems do not unilaterally cancel reservations, deny refunds, or assess damage charges without human review.
4. Opt-Out Rights
4.1 No solely-automated decisioning: EquipMe Rentals does not make solely-automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.
4.2 Right to human review: If any AI-assisted decision affects your rental, you may request human re-review by contacting equipmellc@gmail.com.
4.3 Marketing AI opt-out: You may opt out of AI-driven marketing personalization by emailing equipmellc@gmail.com.
5. Accuracy Disclaimer
AI systems can make errors. Equipment recommendations, pricing suggestions, and similar AI outputs are provided for informational purposes and are not guarantees. Your binding rental terms are governed by the Rental Agreement and Terms of Service, not by AI-generated suggestions or quotes. If AI output conflicts with the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement controls.
6. Training Data
EquipMe Rentals does not use customer personal information to train third-party general-purpose AI models without explicit consent. Where AI features process customer data, processing is limited to operating the feature and is governed by our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes
As we add or modify AI features, this Disclosure will be updated. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email to active account holders.
